facts. but on the flip side, the fans R at fault too. its called supply and demand.
most these rappers & singers that rap & sing that shyt, and these blk entrepreneurs who promote that shyt are because, that's what the fans want.

now muthafukkas in here wanna act holier than thou. it's like blaming drug dealers, and not the fiends. if the fiends was yearning fruit juices, and en-sures then dealers would be selling them instead of drugs. cause soon as that dealer feels guilty and give up drug dealing, somebody will just take that dealer's spot. the same with these artists. as soon as the artist go positive, somebody will take their spot with the negative.

Fans want that gangsta, thug, misogynistic music. that's what they prefer, but everybody wants to solely blame the artist. nikkas like nas, jcole, & kendrick are anomalies. and its crazy the type of hate they get. the Nas Lawst movement. J.Cole is boring and ZZZZ. and the daily Kendrick hate threads...

that's what u fakkits want, Barabas over Jesus.

No lies told. It's a hard pill to swallow tho because regardless how they got it, it's nice to see people who look like you with it...but he's not lying
exactly and I'm guilty of supporting it through concerts and albums . Last money i spent on rap was a concert; Future Dirty Sprite 2 tour 3 years ago. Although I'm not stupid enough (never was) to try any of the drugs he raps or go out and kill other black people I understand the young'n that are already living that lifestyle will see its glorified and continue to follow that path or start on that path. I grew up in those same impoverished neighborhoods surrounded by drug dealers, gangs, etc listening to all the rap in the 90's never thought about reenacting any of the lyrics. I had a good family support system. I watched my older siblings do good in school and go to college despite coming where we came from so that's what I looked at.

Its hard to listen to any of this new music in my late 20's after being more educated about the system of white supremacy.

Funny that I don't see this criticism toward Scorsese for promoting negative Italian American stereotypes with his gangster movies. At the end of the day they're artists doing what artists do. They should be judged on the merits of their craft, not for their choice of subject matter.

A few Italian groups protested The Godfather heavy (it's why you never hear the word "mafia" in the film, as that was one of the concessions made, believe it or not ). Funnily enough, a lot of these protests were organized by mob bosses.

I'm not sure if there were any protests of Goodfellas. But there were storylines on Sopranos on the subject.

I don't know Man, Speech been solid In his square since 92, and never changed once on his stance about anything in the black music industry. Some people are true to their conviction

As true as this is, so what?

He's still in the Black music industry, so he can't hate it as much as he seems to want us to think.
And to frame it like everyone in that photo is the reason Black people are in shambles today is at best naive,
and at worst irresponsibly dishonest.
