Jesper Christensen, the actor who played "Mr White" in Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace has said that he's in the film. So "Quantum" will probably evolve into "Spectre".

let's not go too far. I don't want the piranhas and lasers and all that. There's a good balance between the old way of Bond and the new modern way of Bond and I think they found that balance in skyfall. You shouldn't go too far to either side and it has to work in the world they created. But I know that's a point of contention for Bond fans: Some of us like the more serious Bond, some of us like the more fantastical Bond

The only thing I think is overrated about it is the idea that it's the "greatest bond of all time" I think that's incorrect. To me, that's either From Russia with Love or Casino Royale but Skyfall is a dope dope movie. The only emotional investment comes in Bond's journey which works for me a lot
