Skyfall had the same thing going for it...bad or mild reviews and then great ones. Seemingly most of the brits love it so far at least review wise. All of the ones on RT are from their side of the pond (I'm just going to use all british euphemisms )

Bond movies are hard to critique because everyone has their own definition as to what makes a good one. Skyfall got what it got but there are plenty of cats on here who dislike it
Someone else tweeted its the scream 3 of bond films. Not even sure what that means
I think I know what it means
either they're saying....oh I know exactly what it means and I'm not going to say because it's spoilers.well 'Scream 3' was considered when Craven and Williamson's writing and scripting became near parody, (though I saw 'Scream' at age 14 or so, and some of this was lost one me, as I still enjoyed it) and verged into caricature territory, also echoes the earlier complaint of 'going through the motions'. I love 'Skyfall' or enough of it to disregard some of what I found fault with, so I think I will like 'Spectre' too....
Nah I don't think that's it breh. I think it has more to do with the storyline of spectre and how it's similar to scream 3. There's no way they man it from a parody standpoint seeing as how there are sooooooo many Bond flicks that can earn that title and some of them would wear it proudly
Nah I think it's the relationship between bond and the villain and how he's this long lost brother we never knew about and how that plays into him plotting all of this since casino royale as a way of get back to his foster brother. Just like scream 3 said that the half brother is the reason all of this happened to Sydney starting with the first movie

theme song it had I thought it was a good film. Visually it was beautiful, plot was decent especially given the fact that Daniel Craig himself wrote some of it, Bond chick was 
. Not a Top 5 Bond film but I enjoyed it nontheless
