I am so bummed out and everytime that mf gets another W, I feel worse and worse

I still think the Rs cheated somehow. Wether it's that or the American people are truly this stupid, this country is going to shyt.
The American people are that stupid, unfortunately.

It's why I decided that I'm going to leave this country (or at least try to). No country is perfect, but the United States is worthless. I'm young; I can build a future somewhere else.

I'll keep saying it...one of the luckiest mothafukkers in recorded history.
Nah he just reminded people of the power whiteness still has in this country.

Imagine if anyone else did even half the shyt he did.

"The mind seizes trying to imagine a black man extolling the virtues of sexual assault on tape (“And when you’re a star, they let you do it”), fending off multiple accusations of said assaults, becoming immersed in multiple lawsuits for allegedly fraudulent business dealings, exhorting his followers to violence, and then strolling into the White House. But that is the point of white supremacy—to ensure that that which all others achieve with maximal effort, white people (and particularly white men) achieve with minimal qualification. Barack Obama delivered to black people the hoary message that in working twice as hard as white people, anything is possible. But Trump’s counter is persuasive—work half as hard as black people and even more is possible." -Ta nehisi Coates, 2017

While I hear you, it's more than privilege. Dude caught covid, and clearly is a compromised individual, and looked like he was on the verge of dying. Dude had 2 and a possible assassination attempts. Privelege is a component, but mathematically, dude should be dead.

Not religious, but ecclesiastes 1:18 is my favorite Bible verse; there is no such thing as karma.

Who the fukk you asking? :dead: The next step would be the next step not the step to dismiss the shyt.
:unimpressed:
On November 18, 2022, Jack Smith was appointed by Attorney General Merrick B. Garland to serve as the Special Counsel by Order No. 5559-2022.

Jack Smith works for the Justice department. The Justice Department is controlled by the President. The case against Trump has to be adjudicated by Federal judges. If it even makes it to the Supreme Court to get bushed, it has to make it through lower court judges who will likely bush it because they don't want to try to tie up Trump a month before his electioninauguration.

There was no path forward with this case with Trump now going into office. The best case now is to preserve something of it and possibly go public. The Georgia and NY case is going to go nowhere as well. If it was just supposed to be a feel good "Rah rah, fight till you die!" move, it wasn't going to be a very good one. Trump should have been out of the paint years ago but he has judges willing to hear his appeals and he has the money to keep doing it. It's too late now.

Hmmm :jbhmm:

The thread is about dismissing the case........ Perhaps, just maybe... You could have deduced that I would not want it dismissed. :comeon:
Trump won the election. Dismissing the investigation before he takes office allows Smith to release a report documenting the findings without facing the legal and political barriers that a sitting president would impose. Trump also believed the investigation was a sham, and as president, has the authority to dismiss special council and kill their investigation, as well as suppressing any reported findings. Unfortunately, this is the result of the choice the voters made.

It’s over. Biden presidency will go down as a fart in the wind. Trump should have never even had an opportunity to run again to escape prison. They saw this and still failed. Now a lot of people are going to get fukked as extrication and the narrative will be that Trump was innocent.

If you’re gonna go after a past president, you better be ok point. Failed miserably.

Eh, this does not necessarily have anything to do with Biden's Presidency. His Presidency will be marred by being bookended by two Trump Presidencies that will do lots more harm the second time around and may undo the longer lasting efforts Biden put in place (Chips act being a major one that people don't appreciate). The reason for the failures in no particular order:

  • Merrick Garland as AG. Turns out he was completely ineffective and did not get things moving sooner. He is like Biden in that he likes "Law and Order" and doesn't do what is necessary if it breaks from norms.
  • Stacked Supreme Court. This is on the voters in 2016. Trump set that up.
  • Stacked judiciary under the supreme court. This too is on the voters. Vote in a President, give him the means to dictate judicial vacancies
  • Judicial interference ala Aileen Cannon. There were chances for Trump to go down and Cannon was his ace in the hole.
  • Senate Republicans. They had a chance to nail him twice via impeachment and said fukk it.

For all of the Democratic failings, the worst was really Garland. There are processes that should have gotten Trump out but people worked overtime, many going to PRISON, to obstruct for him. Lawyers have gone to prison and/or been disbarred. Politicians have lost all credibility. Other people, like Mike the Pillow guy, lost their empires for him. When we look back at this, its bigger than rap. A lot of people put themselves on the line for Trump to win. Nothing can account for that kinda shyt.
