because GOT "wasted" that big budget on things like great writers, great actors, big ass scenes, 18 different damn lands and castles and cities and shyt.. and they film on location. the cost of the making the digital wolves almost broke the damn bank cause they made it so realistic. and maybe not a lot of battles, but they was sword fighting to death with that 1 vs ???? the whole time
i love sparty... its good for what its good for... a few bits of talk and a lot of blood, killing, sex and violence. but you couldn't name anybody who's some sort of movie star or been in more than 5.. batiatus excluded... and you damn well know the dialogue ain't matching up. and every single set is green screen
i don't want to see that shyt on GOT... that'd be like using crayons to paint the mona lisa
This thread is truth but it's also obvious. Both shows prescribe to different lanes though so you can't hate too much on GOT's action sequences. I fukks with em both
On a similar note I gotta say sometimes the slow/bullettime/matrix/whateverdafukk takes away from the battles in Sparty. Them fast paced battles from certain points in the first season are much better than these new ones where half the amount of time they fightin is dedicated to slowing shyt down.

and nikkas watch spartacus clearly would rather watch some anachronistic, totally inaccurate, weekly Micheal Bay gore-fest with not a fraction of the depth of someone like my nikka Littlefinger.
@Ctdash nikkas just wanna see battles that have no repercussions or cause, its the same way nikkas watch the news. Blood, guts, battles and no REASONS. Seeing what causes a war is JUST AS if not more interesting that the war itself.
the slower pace is to show all the fighters, so in like 25 seconds you can see spartacus, crixus, gannicus, agron, nasir, saxa putting in that work.

Mook is just a hater and I don't know why. Came up in a thread trying to shyt on the show because he wiki'd parts of things that happen. Didn't even read the first book or watch the first season in full to give a proper opinion on the series.
GoT is way more complex in plot then Spartacus will ever be and the fact that HBO is doing it's best to follow the source material makes it >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Spartacus.
watching both of those...i see why people like both...but GOT comes off more authentic and gritty to me...there isn't gallons of blood ridiculously splashing from every wound. I mean hell the hound sliced a nikka in half and it STILL wasn't as much blood as some of these simple slices to the subclavian and jugular veins in Spartacus...it just looks SO cartoony and it takes me out of it.
the battles in GOT are slower and more cumbersome yeah....but they also have more tension to them....watch the Season one fight between Sir Vardis and Bronn and you'll see what i mean. Or Mago and Khal Drogo
spartacus is a true story that influenced the entire world
game of thrones is a book marketed to pale hermits who look like this
spartacus is a true story that influenced the entire world
I'm talking about plot and storyline not world influence but even so GoT was birthed and has tons of material inspired by historical events breh
I'm a fan of Spartacus but I'm not a blind stan, it's a simple series compared to other historical pieces like Rome.
