Yeah dude, and I'm sure when Spain, Italy, Greece etc collapse along with the Eurozone, that won't have the slightest effect on the American economy. :umad:

What happens after the bailout? they will need another bailout and another and another. What do these countries have or make that the world needs or buys? There is also rampant laziness in these countries because they have been living on borrowed money.

Spain - football, love messi and c. Ronaldo, thats it.
Greece - tourism, nobody goes there anymore
Italy - ferraris and ducatis, we can't afford it.

Tell me your game plan for then after the bailout?

...wtf does this post have do with what I said? :what: My point very simply is that the US has as much to lose as anyone else because American prosperity is wrapped up in European prosperity - that is a fact. Which is why your 'let the Spanish burn' post is just wrong - I'm not trying to say anything beyond that, so don't shift the goalposts on me.

I don't care about justifying anything or telling you there is some kind of back up plan, I already said that no one knows what they are doing in post 6 on this very thread.

Nah Spain is fukked for the foreseeable future, the point of the bailout has really nothing to do with Spain, they are trying to re-finance the Spanish banks and state so they can pay back their debts and try and ensure that everyone's else financial systems stay afloat. The Irish bailout was for the same reason. The austerity plan in place right now is a further attempt to keep debt low throughout the eurozone. Interestingly, the country that rejected a bailout, Iceland, is doing better then most.

Really they are just running around putting out fires here and there before they spread to everyone in the Eurozone. Or at least that is my understanding of the situation, economics isn't my strong point. Its obvious though that this continent is going to be under more and more economic pressure for the next decade, the euro may even fall and the European project as a whole is in serious trouble of being rolled back or compromised. As of right now the Germans are calling all the shots because they are the ones with the economic grunt to help people out, which destroys any veneer of democracy in the EU.

On the other hand, this all is going to mean more Spanish, Italian and Greek woman are going to emigrate to Ireland... :win:

The Euro is going to fail eventually, no reason to delay the inevitable. Default and disbandment is the only realistic option in my opinion.

Powers that be looking at this post like....:childplease:

What you're asking for would ultimately be more beneficial to the little guy....isn't going to happen.

Edit : Also, people are dumb. Nobody that can actually fix these problems is getting elected anytime soon.
