Southpark Zimmerman episode is on tonight

Low key cartman is an evil genius. I didn't find the episode offensive at all, because it was accurate and they didn't actually mock trayvon. c/s what DarianaGrande wrote.

I've been watching South Park since I was a kid and it's pretty much made fun of everything that it wasn't supposed to. Religions, Tragedies, Scandals. Although the concepts been beat to death with the new stuff I'd feel like a hypocrite if I couldn't sit through a Trayvon Martin episode. This episode honestly wasn't that funny, but one thing about South Park is that it really is smart and always has a clear message in every episode. At the end of the day it was an episode mocking how ridiculous and racist the "stand your ground" law is and how America views the value of life based on your color. Cartman dressed up like a black man to get Zimmerman to shoot him knowing that once they'd realize he was white, he'd be given the death penalty. That was the funniest part to me.

when the government came to Zimmerman house talking about your country needs you. What Token said at the end when they were in Mr. Mackie's office is pretty much how every black person felt about the whole stand your ground law anyway. I don't even know how nikkas could be offended by that episode.

at Florida always providing ammo for South Park though. Made me remember the Eliian Gonzales episode they did years ago.

I could see people finding it offensive, that's how plenty of satire gets treated...but it didn't make light of Trayvon, it targeted Zimmerman and the Stand Your Ground Law. Cartman's racism and the images they got away with from it could be offensive for sure but the resounding message at the conclusion about the hypocrisy of stand your ground and Zimmerman getting fried had Trayvon been white...I think that's pretty accurate to how a lot of people feel about that ish.

Maybe its because I didn't see that World War Z movie with Brad Pitt...

Seems like they had enough fodder with Zimmerman story to have it stand alone, trying to shoehorn it in with a movie a lot of people haven't seen wasn't needed

I hope South Park isn't headed towards The Simpsons status.... the last episode I really laughed at was "Butters Bottom bytch" and that like 2 seasons ago
