South Sudan was a country created by western countries, it never was meant to solve the issues between differing groups but to remove the Chinese influence on the oil in southern Sudan effectively making sure the US and their Euro friends get the oil money there. Creating South Sudan was nothing more of a political jack move. All contracts China worked with the "Arab" government were effectively nullified by default opening up the opportunity for cac devils to sign new oil contracts for drilling. People forget that the president of South Sudan was sworn in wearing a cowboy hat given to him by George W Bush. The writing was on the wall. If Spain and France were forced to co-exist as one country, there would be constant fighting too. Factor in that the oil drilling is occurring on some peoples ancestral land and they feel they should more of a share of the revenue and bam...you have a recipe for disaster. South Sudan was created very quickly and wiithout care, just like every almost every country in Africa that was created under cac colonial rule. Most of these countries are nothing more than corporate entities to help generate cac wealth.

This is not about America, Muslims or anything.

Black people are botching this. Why can't some of you admit it?

Tommy knocks doesn't think too highly of Africa or Africans, so you'll have to excuse the lost brother.
Why should he (@Tommy Knocks) give props?

Not you but people like @emoney and @theworldismine13 are out here copping pleas, making excuses. Can you imagine if this was America or Saudi Arabia involved what people on this board would be saying. Personal Responsibility begins at home. Like everyone is saying, they left the Muslims, so why the nonsense? How about we stop blaming everybody else, pull up our pants and make this work for once?

South Sudan is probably one of the "realist" countries in africa in the sense that they fought for their country for 20 years and there is a clear seperation between Islamic north and Christian animist south, how any black person can be against the creation of South Sudan is beyond me and again there are no American oil companies in South Sudan and all the deals with Chinese oil companies continued

And what exactly was wrong with South Sudan having it's own oil contracts, before the Muslim government was taking all the money north and left the south undeveloped

You in here talking about muslims when they have nothing to do with this. This is two groups of black people fighting.

posters were saying that it was a mistake for south sudan to become independent, so i was just giving them a refresher on why south sudan separating themselves from the muslim north was a good idea

as for as the current situation, to be honest i just think its a bump in the road and the government will prevail, imo the guy leading the rebels, machar, has proven himself to be a clown and his defeat is inevitable because all the other nations close by and the us will eventually side with the current government

The media talked about Darfar, rebels, and southern Sudan...not South Sudan. That coutry popped up out of nowhere because of oil. If the west could make a country that quick why didn't they do it two decades ago? if you think that South Sudan will have control of its resources you need to think again. Southern Nigeria and northern Nigeria do not mix either in part because of religion just like old Sudan. Theoretically splitting them up into North and South Nigeria will not make South Nigeria a kumbaya environment. Its like making the Polish and German people into one country because both disliked the USSR. Any African on this board is not shocked that there is conflict there. because you basically have multiple nations (Dinka, Nuer, etc) in the same country. Add in poverty which drives greed and distrust between groups and it can easily be manipulated between groups by outside influences,

the media has nothing to do with it, the sudan civil war was going off and on for 40 years regardless of any media

If the west could make a country that quick why didn't they do it two decades ago?

20 years ago nobody in the west even knew south sudan existed, the only reason it popped up was because white evangelicals started portraying it as muslims oppressing christians, it wasnt because of the oil

if you think that South Sudan will have control of its resources you need to think again.

for the most part i reject this obsession with resources, even if south sudan controlled ts resources south sudan will never get rich from its resources, that is a delusion

south sudan will fail or succeed based on the level of education of its population and that goes for any country on the planet, resources do not determine the success of a nation, education does

and again, before independence the oil was controlled by the muslim north, i fail to see what the south sudanese are gaining by having their oil controlled by the northern muslims

Southern Nigeria and northern Nigeria do not mix either in part because of religion just like old Sudan. Theoretically splitting them up into North and South Nigeria will not make South Nigeria a kumbaya environment.

well one i never said it would be kunbaya, i said south sudan should break up with the muslim north no matter what the cost

secondly you are full of shyt, ive seen you write essays about how nigeria needs to break up and now when i similar situation rises in sudan all of sudan you demand that colonial borders be kept, you are intellectually inconsistent and sound like a clown

Its like making the Polish and German people into one country because both disliked the USSR. Any African on this board is not shocked that there is conflict there. because you basically have multiple nations (Dinka, Nuer, etc) in the same country. im not really sure what your point is, are you saying that south sudan should be divided further?

theworldismine please, you saying split up with the Muslims not matter what is kumbaya not matter how you want to portray it. You hate Islam, which is fine, it's warranted in this case. And let's be honest, between the oil and the Darfur conflict, the Sudanese Muslims are a special kind of ugly. But you know what? That's neither here or there. Darfur is over, and South Sudan is it's own country. The choice was made. And now, this is black people black killing black people over something frivolous. That's a damn shame not matter how you want to look at it.

compared to 40 years of civil war and hundreds of years of muslims invading the south for slaves, actually it is a bump on the road

im not saying its frivolous, but the main thing i would be worried about is if the government was collapsing, but at this point it look's like machar the rebel overplayed his hand

of course its a shame and now african countries need to get together and fix it, which as far as i can see is what is occurring

Violence is violence. Glad the rest of Africa is trying to do something. For the record I'm not saying you're being frivolous per se, but the the warring faction in south Sudan fighting over god knows what, are. The country is barely one year old and this is what they are doing.
