I was watching it when I had an atrocious work schedule and was beyond stressed over the spring/summer (whenever y’all put me on)
That being said, I recall him being funny without trying too hard. Obviously that’s due heavy to great writing.

I said this before, but shameless claimed to be on the south side. and it kinda was, but a lot of it is in california. especially the final season.
this show is ENTIRELY filmed on the southside. that is clear. even the chi is filmed on both the south and west sides.

Funniest show since Chappelle in my opinion.
An excellent example of high-brow black comedy. Emmy-worthy writing. Doesn’t surprise me in the least that both of the creators are Harvard-alum either. It shows in how sharp the dialogue and writing are on this.
Chicago is truly a gem of a city, happy to see it have a deserving representation on screen finally that isn’t rooted in drama + trauma. Closest representation of what the city is actually like on screen.
