I agree whole-heartedly.
But I also don't blame those who did know for not making it "need to know" information.
Think about it: the average number of people born with such ambiguous genitalia that an expert needs to be consulted is about 1 in 2,000 births.
That's not even the +/-1 percent to equal homosexuals. It's 0.0005% of the population.
Something that rare can't justifiably have us throw out our concept of the human species as sexually dimorphic.
They are quite literally anomalies.
