Sources: There's fear Lakers star LeBron James is likely to miss an extended period of time with his right foot injury. Might miss several weeks

Like clockwork, when march is about to come the Lakers lose their key players. Same thing for a third year now. Two years there was no AD now it looks like Bron will be missing most of it.
Well yeah, that's why there was never any reason to have faith in a team whose best players are a center that's constantly injured and a point forward that's pushing 40
Bad health bet as I've been saying since before the season even started

The Lakers were the only team who had a 4 month break that year while every other team went straight to Orlando to finish out the season :ohhh:

Part of what makes winning an NBA championship difficult (and special) is the grueling grind of the regular season. The bubble removed that aspect, thus removing the durability element that's always been needed for almost every single championship in NBA history.

It's no coincidence the Lakers have been failures every season after - where the grind of the season broke them down. No one argues that LeBron and AD aren't supremely talented, however their inability to stay healthy during normal NBA seasons has made them unworthy of winning a championship.

If you gave the Lakers (and NBA) 4 months off every season, they may have three-peated - off talent alone.

Some of it is just pure bad luck. Remember Bron was playing like an MVP before Solomon Hill dove into his legs and fuked him up. Just something out of his control really. AD came into that year out of shape after getting basically no off-season. Last year was a disaster more cause roster construction

LeBron has played more games this year than Steph and KD.. but that doesn't fit narratives so it isn't talked about.

PG and Kawhi are consistently hurt more than AD, but again doesn't fit narratives.

You’re so disingenuous that you didn’t even post the one right after where I said I don’t even care if we win or lose and the only game that bothered me was the Celtics loss for obvious reasons(rivals). Something u wouldn’t understand because your entire life has been centered around following another man so the only rival you have are posts under 500 words :mjlol:

Afloat? The team is below .500
On Dec 16th the day AD went down the Lakers were 1.5 gms behind the 10th seed...When AD made his return on Jan 25th the Lakers were 1 gm behind the 10th seed......In the games Lebron played while AD was out the Lakers had an above .500 record........Most people thought the team would fold without AD.

This team isn't built to win if either AD or Lebron is out, unfortunately they've both been super injury prone since joining the Lakers so yea...season is a wrap

I disagree, the moves at the trade deadline gave the Lakers quality depth....Enough depth to hold the fort down while AD or Bron misses a short stretch of games...They just need Dlo and the role players to stay healthy.

The problem is we can't afford to just tread water here down the stretch, otherwise you're looking at fighting for the 9/10 spot. Now you have to win the play-ins, play the Nuggets in the first round... with a team trying to mesh

Depend on a near 40 year old player that has played the most minutes in history to take you on a deep playoff run brehs. :francis:

LeBron has had a major injury every year he's been in LA outside of 2020. Should be expected by now no matter how well he takes care of himself.
