"The kid suggested a while ago that he would be willing to come down to fight Floyd at 150. So if he put it out there ... this is business at the end of the day, and we're going to hold his feet to the fire, and his manager the same way."

From the link you posted.

Floyd beat Cotto for his 154 title, Canelo won a vacant title he was a paper champ anyway.

Also Canelo and GGG are the same size. Floyd is smaller than all the 147 pound fighters he fought except for Pac and Marquez. So it is reason to have them fight at a catchweight.

It's not reasonable for GGG just a reason to avoid the fight for whatever reason.

Canelo hasn't beaten any of his contemporaries except for Lara

Why isn't he fighting one of the Charlo brothers or Demetrius Andrade

He getting stripes he ain't even earn, that's the problem I have with Canelo, he don't even do PPV numbers on top of all that

So you just in here lying on 'Nelo huh?:wow:

Canelo Alvarez: Floyd Mayweather team forced catchweight

^^^^^^^that says that it was the other way around when it came to negotiations for the Canelo-Mayweather fight. But I get you point in that they DID NOT have to take 152, they coulda walked away

But w/e about that fight, Canelo don't have the cache that Floyd had when it comes to negotiations but it's GGG that needs the fight, NOT Canelo. Canelo will more than likely vacate it when/if he's told 155 is a no go fro the higher ups.

I'm just being realistic about it all. If you think that the fight taking place at 155 come September, be ready for a rude awakening :francis:

I stated a fact. He ain't beat the Charlo's Demetrius Andrade, no we have Lubin rising the ranks at #9

Floyd beat all his contemporaries at 130 and 135, him and Diego Corales were both 22 years old and undefeated

Canelo's fought none of the young bangers at 154, has this nikka even fought a legit figher in his 20's yet, the answer is no

He was 21 years old when he said that...at 20 he was a Welterweight, so yes at 21 he could make 150.

He was 23 years old by the time he faced Floyd though and was a full fledged Junior Middleweight which is why he's always complained about never giving up a weight advantage again.

I don't know, but people tripping if they think because Canelo said he'd fight Floyd at 150 when he was 21, that he wouldn't be effected 2 years later at 23 years old after he grew into a legit 154lber. Canelo was at 147 when he was 20 and at 21 felt he could still make 150...not at 23 when he fought Floyd:manny:

AB was at 130 at 21 and at 147 by the age of 23. No way could he had fought at 130 or 135 again because he had outgrown the weight.
:
Floyd would have sonned Canelo if cinnamon weighted 195 :manny:
Especially after Nelo's extra disrespectful 'learn one phrase in english/duck a photo at the biggest weight in ever' move.

So Canelo could have been 23yr full 154lber and

canelo76572.jpg

happened. He'd do the same to G right now.

Floyd Would beat him
People would say ggg only lost cause he was drained
Same ol story
GGG been fighting cab drivers most his career
Going from that to floyd is to big of a step up

I have Floyd Top #5 all-time. If he came back, straight outta retirement, and beat GGG at 154 with a no rehydration clause...I'd seriously have to consider him truly TBE:ohhh:

I don't see anything wrong here. 97G is a fabricated fighter and HBO relies on him to recoup the lost money from the past 4 years. It's only right they keep playing on the mind of uneducated fans to make money and hype him up. The guy has a ticker on ESPN and he ain't fought a damn pulse yet.HBO ain't even recoup their alien card fee yet.

Let em cook

I agree that Canelo should have the upper hand in negotiations, but Canelo really really should fight g. I was about to type NEEDs but it's not that dire. Just having two beasts. at good points in their careers, not fighting, looks bad on both ends.

I think they end up fighting at 157 in 2017 (When Canelo feels fully comfortable there) and it'll go 8-4 cinammon. G has a shyt team around him (for us real heads not for his pocketbooks), and he would get the donut from #SOGgang, but he is still no joke as a boxer.
Of course Canelo don't need the fight..what? He's like the new #1 draw without Floyd around yet. But why not fight him? It looks terrible.
