But the pitching has been a pleasant surprise. I thought that was going to be their biggest weakness to start the season and Yankees would have to win a lot of 10-8 or 9-7 games. Dont know how long it will last tho.
Best case scenario he's a lot closer to his 2022 output than his 2023 output.
It's weird because his chase rate is actually down but his strikeout rate is a lot higher than it was last year.
He's just whiffing on pitches he should be hitting.
It's possible he turns it around this month or next. It is also possible that he is mentally not locked in and confused at the plate.
