I know I know it’ll get lost in the big win, but I think Rizzo is done. 1-34 this month, maybe 2-3 extra base hits in the past 30 days, and a .220/.279/.332 triple slash on the season. They need to pull the plug and find someone who can hit at first base.

For some reason, this Judge season is dwarfing his 62 HR season

This is the best month he’s ever had in terms of average and OBP. He’s also hitting a ton of doubles. His OBP on the year is .437 and he’s got a .712 slugging percentage. His 2022 numbers were .425 and .686 in those categories. He’s also still on pace for 59 homers. Last guy to slug .700 for the season was 2004 Barry Bonds.

He suffered his concussion on May 28th and they had him out there seeing stars until August 1st before shutting him down. You can't tell me that nonsense didn't have a role in him becoming permanently
