Philly leotardo being so offended at Johnny sack crying was classic too.

I always died during the scene where Phil is telling the story about how their name got changed from Leonardo to Leotardo

Kid: “why did they do that for??”
Phil: “because they’re stupid, that’s why!!”

:laff:

Since it’s corona season I’m finally watching this show and the shyt is pure fukkery that I can only compare of Sons of Anarchy.

Show is racist AF and looks extremely dated for something that came out just 20 years ago but I can appreciate that it represents a time that’s now long gone.

The levels of no fukks given on this show are extreme and early on it’s almost like a force field surrounds the entire organization and law enforcement can’t get thru. These cats are hijacking trucks with like 2 pistols lol, pulling off beat downs in broad daylight with their faces out in the open and their contempt for block people (and Jews) is thru the roof.

I can see why these Italian American groups were embarrassed about the stereotypes on the show, with the over the top accents, suits, hair and a damn near child’s interpretation of what the mob was/is

I’m sure the kinks from season 1 get ironed out later on so I’m just enjoying it for what it is.

and kudos to the amount of t*ts in this show as well :ehh:

And Christoper is beyond annoying like Ziggy from The Wire.

One of the funnier and interesting arcs in the show is Paulies battle with his night terrors and his questioning of his where he'll go when he dies. Christopher spooks Paulie out after talking about how he visited hell when he flatlined after he was shot. Kinda shows how religious and superstitious Paulie is. And it shows how religious these mob guys are. Gangsters yes....but also devout Catholics. In the midst of it all, Tony remains pragmatic.

What makes it more interesting is we get a peek into what a Mobsters verison of hell or purgatory would be like. Its comical yet somewhat serious. :russ:

:dead: “You didn’t go to hell my friend, you went to purgatory”.
