I don't know why yall keep saying that - this is a new occurrence. NYPD has directives to hire 500+ new additional officers asap due to increased street level policing, but specifically on subways - it's a NEW policy under Cuomo. They tried to keep it under wraps but paperwork was released. Yeah, the city has always been the go-to jobs for minorities; my mother used to work for the city comptroller's office but this extra hiring of police is a new situation. Corrections was the most highly dominated field. Not police.

Damn shame - the pieces are coming together. I was wondering why they were giving them such a high profile and all of a sudden having such a public persona on social media.
