On what planet can a movie generate over 600 million at the box office and lose money? That is some serious creative accounting....even Antoine Walker thinks that is crazy.

They never disclosed the budget for the movie but the rumor is it cost at least 250-300 mill just for production. That's not factoring in marketing costs, distribution costs, and the theaters get their cut too. In one of the earlier Sony emails, someone wrote that they didn't make the money they needed to from MIB so he/she questioned why do they keep putting that much money into the movie to not get a big enough return for their investment

I know y'all hate the "R" word around here, but a serious Men in Black reboot could come out dope. Firstly, you could make it about everything paranormal instead of just aliens. Bump it up to an R-rating and you can get to some of the rawer elements of the Men in Black urban legend (specifically them killing witnesses as opposed to wiping their memories). I think if you turned the series into X-Files meets James Bond it could revitalize it. Will's one liners and seeing cartoonish, comedic aliens was funny when I was a kid but it just doesn't grab me anymore.

I'm down for all of that but you know it would never be Rated R breh..and for the record, I'm not one to hate the reboot word. I think in some cases, they're downright needed
