Because they're probably subsidizing gameass:mjlol:
Microsoft has now stopped giving gamepass subscription numbers now :mjlol:

Because they flatlined in the past year. They were on a high last year due to all software/subscription/hardware sales getting a super boost due to the pandemic and lockdowns and now theres no way they can say they’ve had significant growth since then. The only thing that have continued to climb are hardware sales for all platforms, subs are down across the board on all media, and if you’re a company banking on impressing investors with subscription numbers you aren’t gonna report such a small growth. Thats why they have no problem reporting revenue, because revenue is still up due to hardware.

They are relying on forza and halo to drive subs for their next fiscal quarter where they are probably planning on dropping numbers, but its still gonna be in the low 20’s. Halo is F2P and most people that are waiting for forza and the halo campaign most likely already own an xbox and gamepass.

I make fun of gamepass because it's fun. But it is a good deal, but with a subscription service how do you make more money? Amazon can with Prime because people are still buying stuff. But with something like Gamepass, or even Netflix, you're going to plateau eventually.
