At least something is going right for the company. They're still too embarrassed to put out Vita sales without attaching them to PSP sales. The PS3 came a long way from that $600 joke people were laughing at when it first came out.

for the record their direct competitor crossed the 70 million sold mark last month.

It's not a profitable company. Honestly the system lost so much money in the beginning with any profits it makes now its still in the red. The PS3 wiped out all the profits from the PS2 era.

Can i please have a source for this ridicilous statment. ps2 is the greatest selling system of all time. If ps3 ate their budget and all ps2 profits they would have discontinued the ps3 a long time ago.

Everybody reports shipped last I knew. Honestly how would any of these companies know the exact number of consoles sold in stores? That would mean every single company that sells their consoles would have to consistently report back how many all their stores sold.

At least read the 5 year old links you post. It claims it 3 billion and it's been 5 years and been selling well. PS3 is well in the green.
