Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) seeks a highly qualified candidate for the position of Manager, Corporate Strategy & Development-Integration and Acceleration. The Corporate Development and Strategy team works closely with SIE’s leadership team to identify and execute inorganic growth opportunities through acquisitions, investments or joint ventures that are aligned with SIE’s strategic priorities and drive significant long-term value for the company.

Opportunities are assessed based on rigorous investment criteria and evaluation by internal stakeholders. Members of the team will develop the business case (including synergies) and drive internal alignment on strategic fit and the post-deal integration and acceleration. The team works collaboratively across all functions and services at SIE.

The Manager, Corporate Strategy & Development-Integration and Acceleration is a new role. We are looking for an experienced merger integration professional who excels in partnering cross-functionally and influencing in a multi-faceted, fast-paced environment. The individual should be a creative problem solver and strategic thinker ready to play an instrumental part in supporting due diligence, defining and driving the integration strategy, supporting integration planning and execution, and partnering closely with the deal, business, and functional leaders to drive realization of value from investments.

Responsibilities:

  • Define the integration strategy to achieve business objectives towards deal value realization
  • Develop holistic integration plans including Day 1 scope, approach, and readiness; and drive the day-to-day execution of the integration process
  • Lead the end-to-end merger integration process
  • Actively identify and manage integration risks and solve cross-functional integration issues
  • Develop acquisition-related key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of transaction-value drivers
  • Prepare regular M&A integration status reports and / or management briefings to key stakeholders
  • Conduct post-mortem processes to capture end-to-end deal learnings and best practices
  • Become a trusted partner and work closely with stakeholders from the business unit, functional groups, and acquired team
  • Serve as a member of the core deal team to drive deal-related decisions and milestones and support business case development, due diligence, and other transactional matters
  • Stay abreast of SIE’s priorities and exemplify culture to effectively support acquired companies through the integration
  • Lead the refinement of integration and build-out of repeatable process strategy and toolset (e.g., playbooks, process flows, work plans) that incorporate prior experience and industry-leading practices across all key workstreams
  • Create and establish a peer network of best-in-class experts, to continuously bring in outside best practices and industry trends
