I've been hearing this a lot lately. Game sounds like it's an 8/10
Supposedly, and I can't call it cause I didn't play upon release, but the reason for the low reviews is because the media outlets received glitchy versions. I didn't start playing it until very recently when most of the bugs were patched up. And...the game takes a few hours of investment before the story starts to really flesh out.
I was pleasantly surprised, the leveling up features are real cool. The Zombie hordes felt real and brought me back to the early episodes of Walking Dead, except these zombies are way faster.
And like I said, the character development was surprisingly good. I wanted to know what was going to happen with about 7 or 8 different characters, in addition to my own.
It's open world, so there's always a tedious factor that comes into play, but it wasn't bad enough to make me stop playing. What made the game good is that I was invested in paying back the muthaphukas that betrayed me throughout the game, as well as helping those who helped.
And what's crazy is that some of the humans end up being more evil and shadier than the damn zombies.
I could give it a solid 7.5/8.0. I grade tough too.
