I canceled my preorder after the extensive gameplay vids and reviews started rolling in. I'll grab it discounted but it never had the sure shot feel to me that other Sony exclusives had. After reading the reviews, I wasn't even sold on the idea that I'd like it better than Second Son, which was a good (but somewhat generic when it came to the open world) launch title. I think the ball was dropped here.

I won't lie, the protagonist put me off the game early. They couldn't have played it more generic and typical if they tried. I was concerned about how unremarkable and by the book dude was and so when I saw complaints about how unremarkable & by the book he was, it wasn't exactly surprising.
