The 30 percent upcharge is so significant for Sony because up until what, MLB and Destiny? How many storefronts could you buy 1st party playstation games on upon release?
Meanwhile they are the market share leader, they don't do day and date and other platforms and they hold most of the gaming consumers, so they collecting a upcharge for games and DLC from the entire industry while paying out little to nothing.
Essentially their competitors are giving them free money with no choice. Either pay the 30 or get starved out.
