this is straight up NOT true but I'd take mario 64 over sonic adventure 1
Stop. NO Sonic game is touching Super Mario 64.
this is straight up NOT true but I'd take mario 64 over sonic adventure 1
Low key Banjo Kazooie and Conker were better games than Mario 64
*ducks tomatoes*
Sonic Adventure was magical imo. I loved it. I loved Mario 64 too though.
Facts. Mario Kart 64 was trash.Diddy Kong Racing better than Mario Kart64 too
Naw let's put it all the way out there
I knew Kart64 was trash when I went over here to Peach's Castle and it wasn't NOTHING over here.
No Warps. No Powerups. NOTHING.
Like damn...Y'all not gone reward me for exploration?
I done ruined my whole race for nothing? Hell kinda game is this.
Me 2 but it's not fuqqing with Mario for a multitude of reasons. What I really fukk with Sonic Adventure.
Waaaaay better. Why'd it have to shyt all over Mario kart like that though. It was essentially Mario kart with upgrades, better levels, hover boats, planes.Diddy Kong Racing better than Mario Kart64 too

SOmebody on YouTube made a great point: the reason why people aren't as forgiving of Sonic Adventure's flaws is because of all the mediocre-to-bad games that followed; so it's viewed less as a building block/test run of greatness and more an omen of what's to come.Adventure 1 is a childhood defining game for me.
It was magical in ’99.
SA1&2 is the last time we see Sonic as a franchise console-carrying IP.
Mario 64 wasn’t perfect either, but people will gloss over it's flaws while magnifying Sonic's.
I respect the ambition of the Adventure Team and this is the last time I liked ALL the voice actors.
I haven't liked any of the newer VA's for Sonic lol
Crush40 OST crazy.
Still the best 3D level design in the franchise; only Generations comes close.
Boost Gameplay made Sonic lazy.
Running through Station Square HubWorld and the NPC’s having different dialogue depending on where the story is,
This game, especially for a Sonic game, deserves more respect honestly.

People forget that it was literally the very first major game of the DC/PS2/GC/XBox generation
Yeah DX was based off the build of the original Japanese version that was rushed out so it would be ready for Christmas '98. For the American release a year later they cleaned up a lot of the glitches.Boss battles and Hubworld too
Kart 64 didn't even respect y'all enough to use 3D Models,
Y'all was driving Badly-Rendered .JPEG Files in Mario Kart...everybody else shyt was 3D.
Sonic wouldn't do y'all like that
1. Diddy KING Racing
2. Star Wars Episode 1 Pod Racer
3. F-Zero X
4. Mario Kart 64
5. Top Gear Overdrive
5. Cruisin World, Cruisin USA
Makes sense lol
I think another reason was because the Gamecube Ports (SADX, SA2:B) were a lot of people's introduction to Adventure 1&2 too. SA:DX...is not as good as SA1 on Dreamcast, but it is "serviceable". There were more glitches on the Gamecube version honestly. I had a Dreamcast in '99 and everybody pretty much put respect on Adventure 1's name **at the time.
I ain't even bring up the Chao Garden lol
Chao Garden had the streets on lock from '99-'04
