the default account settings for thecoli accounts suck. they alert you for replies for every thread you ever participated in and that could easily flood and bump alerts into oblivion if people reply on TLR a lot or don't check thecoli in a couple days and the alerts disappear, especially for casuals that don't watch this thread and it's standard practices all the time -- and yeah it sucks when you reply someone with an unearthed upload waiting for some gratitude just for people to ghost their request/responses or don't reply/dap/rep at all. with that said, i turned off default alert settings and only watch the threads that care about posting music links and that helps (except that not everyone does this), except that there are occasions when these alerts of new replies don't exist and i have to manually check threads, as reiterated below...

i didn't even know the site owner brooklynzson is still missing in action after all this time to even open up registrations again, for example, and idk how this site is even running as a ghostship for this long if donation money is even keeping the lights on, or if we need to ban certain people from spam posting (or archive all the posts with no replies), which eats up too much site bandwidth/storage space. i remember he had some family or personal emergency but idk when the last time someone even got a hold of him but this length of time is crazy. hopefully someone can inherit the controls and not have a scenario where all the gems here gets abandoned like every other OG defunct rap forum prior, smh

Hmm I only get alerts for quotes/reps/daps, Generally though if I ask a question or have a request I'll be on the lookout for a response + I see who quotes me

But getting alerted for every thread I've posted in would suck so I understand even though my post count isn't high.

fukk, there's another one? i been paying attention to this thread, and some of their requests are hard to find, or ambiguously ask for someone to make a 'playlist compilation' like it's 2007 again...we need to merge these threads
