anyone have a digital collection of all those self-published pimp documentaries from the late 90s/early 00s that captured our imaginations watching late night informercials but too young at the time to pick up a credit card and call the toll free number?

There's classics like American Pimp - Wikipedia and Pimps Up, Ho's Down - Wikipedia (I have both vids) but there's also https://www.houseofnubian.com/Really-Really-Pimpin-in-Da-South.aspx (can't find video online)

the OST for Various - American Pimp and Various - Pimps Up Hoes Down looks like it could be mixed and matched via youtube

BUT, the VIDEO for Various - Really, Really Pimpin' In Da South looks underground but birthed classics like this [remixed by lil wayne on dedication 3] , available on spotify at least, but the video tho:

...also, what other titles are there? there should be more releases than just these 3 videos and OST sets

Dunno if you got this... (a little odd to have a Pimp Soundtrack featuring tracks by M.O.P., Amil, Busta Rhymes & Rampage)
Various - 2003 - Ice-T Presents Pimpin'101 The Soundtrack - FLAC

Krit had a song where he was sampling that backstabbers song by the O’jayz. It was basically a Mississippi anthem. Can’t find that song anywhere

thanks...the videos to the OSTs are even harder to find..i just wanna see the premise of what they said that would even make it a dvd...still looking for the other ones i wrote above

I'm surprised that people don't ask you for HQ samples, they probably DM you or something given sample seeking is so secretive

There was a Lincoln or Mercury car ad in the mid to late 90s with a jazz tune that has been in my head for decades.

It was a brother, wearing a beret coming out a building in a big city with his closed umbrella, getting picked up in the ride by his lady. It was smooth as hell and had somewhat of a big band sound.

I know the notes.

back in like 98-99 there was a song that used to play on dallas radio with a dude on the hook saying:

i dont wanna play witcha, i wanna lay witcha
rather smoke some hay witcha than spend the day witcha

then a woman repeats those lines

then they both say "I just wanna fukk"

thats all I remember from the song but it stay stuck in my head and ive never heard it or seen it anywhere since

if it's a commercial, try this sub to describe it r/tipofmytongue

if you know the notes, you can attach a mini sequencer online Online Sequencer
