I remember rhe glass bottles because I was always getting crowned by my boys cause we'd get done playing ball and go to the store and they'd all get sodas or some other super sweet drink and I'd always grab a citrus cooler Gatorade, it really did quench your thirst like plain water. Then a couple years later they switched to the plastic squeeze bottles and it seems they added more sugar because all of a sudden everyone was drinking Gatorade. I remember when most ppl complained that it was too bitter so they switched up and got more flavors and it kept getting sweeter and really stopped quenching your thirst. This was around 94-95.

They made it more juice like by using High Fructose Corn Syrup. That sweetener causes dehydration and thus makes you crave more liquid to quench your thirst.

I remember a lady used to tell me Hershey Chocolate formula was changed too. They did something to the recipe she would say, I figured as you get older ya taste buds change over time. But numerous people say the same thing.
