Shaq didn't get the same kind of hate went he went to the Lakers. Nor did Kareem, nor did KG and ray for joining the celtics

I can't say anything about Kareem but with Shaq and KG, they went to the two biggest franchises in basketball...There was gonna be no hate there in the media. Social media wasn't where its at now as well, even during the KG trade.

I always thought it was because of the team he chose. I don't think he would've been as hated if he chose Chicago or New York or any of the other teams that were pursuing him.

I mean I'm sure he still would've had his haters but I don't think it would've been as bad if it was anyone else.

Lebron left his hometown, left all his boys hanging. It's not the same as Shaq leaving for LA. (Unless he is from Orlando and I don't know it) Lebron showed his disloyalty, didn't give the fans a heads up, humiliated the fan base by leaving on tv, and teamed up with other hall of famers to get his rings.
