Someone give me a legitimate reason as to how Biggie is better than Project Pat

The overall message is "I was broke now i'm not" which is most of Biggie's catalogue...and it's a cool song,
but it's not that "deep" or "thought provoking".

Its a great song though. He showed how to correctly make a radio friendly east coast track.

So basically, the only difference between Biggie and Big L is that one of them had a high profile beef with Pac and some commercial success. All this emphasis on lyricism should at least put Big L in yall Top 5 too right?

Isn't OP the same person that said Nas was not a top 5 emcee?

This is crazy, I expected more of an argument. Biggie stans didnt even try. In all seriousness tho, a bulk of his notoriety comes from being killed and Pac shyttin on him. I aint even tryna hate in Big hes a great emcee but Top 5 is pushing it.

Well I actually agree about him not being Top 5 but I dont think that is what people were disagreeing with you on. Your bringing up the Pac beef and commercial success as if Biggie didn't already show he was an elite talent when Ready to Die dropped prior to the beef. I think Big L was an average talent compared to Big who was the Bo Jackson of hip hop. And I'm not even a huge Biggie stan.

So I dont think the Big L comparison is justified. Even with the Pac beef adn commercial success, Biggie is head and shoulders above Big L and I think most people would say so.

As for the gist of your thread title and its purpose, you should have been more straightforward and said Project Pat is a much better artist than Biggie. Your giving a political argument and not just being straightforward with your point. That is where you are catching flack. It is coming across as if your trying to trick people.
