Someone explain to me exactly when laugh tracks in sitcoms became so hated

Did Martin and fresh prince of bel air really have a laugh track tho.

Some of those laughs seem way too authentic.

I know Disney channel stay using laughing tracks.

There's no channel that airs more unfunny, bad, poorly written and poorly acted sitcoms than Disney. I think that's all they produce now and that shyt gets even worse with a laugh track. It might be the worst channel on tv right now.

Forreal tho. That's one of the reasons why I wasn't checking for girl meets world.

The shows are so cringeworthy and the acting is so bad. Disney channel hasn't always been the funniest, but I don't remember it being this bad.

For real. My girl has a 10 year old brother and it's all he watches. Horrid theme songs (holy shyt are all the songs bad), the cast is always inexpensive pre teen actors whose acting is even worse than the writing which is always about nothing that usually leads to a terrible musical number or someone being sad over one kid being a jerk, and it's nothing but all the stock characters of movies or shows about kids with the stuck up pretty one, the dumb kid who loves adventure, the antisocial smart kid and so on. The laugh track runs all the time and when jokes get worse the kids just over act and shout more as if being over the top automatically is funny. It's worse for the brain than beavis and butthead was. Total mind numbing garbage. Whenever I end up having kids I will not be paying for that channel

Only ones doing laugh tracks now are CBS () and Carmichael Show is filmed in front of a live studio audience

Real people laughing was so much better breh. Seindfeld early seasons had real laughter. Then got replaced with a laugh track. (In 94-95 season 5 or 6) that's when seindfeld starting falling off. I don't know how the fukk u would like somone pushing a laugh button to make fake laughter

the early seasons of seinfeld had a real audience laughing, you could still hear a single person laughing not in sync with the whole crowd..which made it great. martin early seasons had this too where you would hear on person just cracking up. its like at a standup comedians show...you want a real audience or fake audience? the later seasons you had someone pushing a button with fake audience

in a post-The Office world it's really hard to take a new sitcom serious with a laugh track. i cant think of any i've liked in a long time

The office shoots like a movie so you would notice it,the classic sitcoms shoot differently....both arguments are from people who likely have just been brainwashed into thinking what they grew up on is the right way.

So its basically a stalemate,and in a stalemate its safe to say the 90's way was the best way
