what is that?
Got my author's mixed up, the book I was refering to is the Parable of the Sower By Octavia Butler which is an afro dystopian novel. I did download children of Blood and Bone though.

Parable of the sower synopsis

Set in the 2020s where society has largely collapsed due to climate change, growing wealth inequality, and corporate greed, Parable of the Sower centers on a young woman named Lauren Oya Olamina who possesses what Butler dubbed hyperempathy or "sharing" – the ability to feel pain and other sensations she witnesses

This man sonned Basquiat by taking his written raps and crumbling it in his face, then hops in the booth with his homie K-Rob and recorded what became known as Beat Bop, with the cover artwork done by... Basquiat :russ:

but Ram's conceptual afrofuturist art is meticulous and a sight to behold

One of my most favorite genres and lifestyles in both literature, art, fashion, and music. You could also say that Black Panther is one of the best mainstream examples of AfroFuturism.

As a matter of fact, Detroit Techno music (the OG Techno sound) is deeply rooted in the AfroFuturist concept, especially from one of my favorite artists of that sound, Waajeed
