Jay and them offered Jaz a bum ass deal he felt he was way below his worth so he didn't sign it, same with Sauce Money... Before Bleek dropped a debut album, Jay was their only artist, the main priority, remember Reasonable Doubt didn't sell enough for them to start signing nikkas with deals to compete with other labels... So Jaz felt slighted with the offer and opted to stay a free agent while his prime basically dwindled into obscurity minus the brief comeback, unfortunately the beef deaded him for good it seems!.......
he offered him the deal after he sold 5 million... with him on a single.. and in the video... on one of the hottest songs on the 5 million selling album
and dude turned it down
what exactly did he do after that?? not a damn thing.. so all the people talking bout "it wasn't that much and what do you expect" like that was all he'd get...
no he'd get that... plus more exposure.. which would lead to more show $$, more feature $$, more looks and press...
what do I expect?? I expect you to make that money and flip it.. invest, buy some real estate.. at least a car... anybody hear bleek complaining lately?? say what you want but he took that deal which had to be way worse back then, and played his position to the point of 4-5 albums, numerous features and still doing shows to this day.. getting paid being a hype man, more than most of us in this thread get paid
shyt young chris could get more for a feature than jaz-o right now and we acting like turning that deal was a smart idea in hindsight
funny how jay said "and I'ma let karma catch up to jaz-o" now we have this pic while jay is jay
