There's a difference between liking who u like and putting things in an objective perspective...if a nikka told u Souljah Boy was the GOAT there is literally NO legitimacy to the claim...there's artists who I put in an all time top 10 that I'm not even huge fans of...
I stopped reading soon as u mentioned the clipse, wtf is so creative about what the clipse were doing, the same thing that u said about ross could be said about them also, I'm not understanding your point.

Whether or not The Clipse sound the same on every song has nothing to do with anything. If you want to toss them in the same "unoriginal" boat as Ross go for it, the difference is nobody is comparing them to BIG or ODing on how great they are.

Basically..and I think Ross is dope...Spitta is one of my FAV artists right now and he gets the same complaints about how his production saves him...I think he's all around dope but I wouldn't play myself and put him in an all time GOAT list...and I think dude makes GREAT music...

The thing is this is people on the internet exaggerating with the BIG and greatest of all time talk and in real life they enjoy it for just good music while people who make threads on the internet about how much they hate him log off and really feel that way.

Thats the thing tough..I dont hate him..Teflon Don was a great album..he really stepped up his shiit on there.
But hes not this all time great these people are talking about..you can throw the "its your opinion" card at me..but let be realistic..I rarely seen a fan base overrate their idol like they do with Ross.

ross sounds nothing like none of the rappers mentioned especially not the clipse, by your logic nobody in the game is original right now and never has been, everybody copies off somebody one point of time.

in your mind, he can be the best rapper of all time. but when we're in a collective of different hip hop fans posting and weighing in, you are not going to be able to get em all to agree on that. and not even most. those who have a lot of time put into hip hop, and knowledge will know better. you just are going to have to accept that. you can imagine him as the best all day, but the fact is most don't agree
so while we're all here discussing the music and what everyone likes about it, you got to make a real point or just step and keep doing what you're doing. but when we come together to decide it, the majority is going to decide.
and before anyone wants to be ignorant and claim that it's an "elitist" stance, it's really not. it's what the majority who are from it come together and say. see it stops being subjective when we're all discussing it and evaluating it off the past of the music.

Ross is very nice compared to the rappers out now. The problem is, his fans aren't comparing him to Waka Flocka or 2Chainz....they're comparing him to all-time greats.
And in that context, he's an inferior version of the same shyt Rae, Scarface, Jay, Kool G Rap, BIG, etc. was rapping about 10-20 years ago.
