Pac bucked at cops..beat up people before Bishop was even a character and was a real ass dude.

Meanwhile we condone a fat ass, id stealing, C.O. turned drug kingpin

So is this your real beef? I'm not out there riding for and defending none of these dudes street credibility:manny: I gave that up as an adolescent hiphop fan. Now I do agree there is still a line and it looks like Ross being a C.O. is your line. Now if Ross out here getting his chained snatched everyday and getting checked by real street dudes all the time & humiliated, it would probably change my ability to take him seriously even a lil bit when I listen to his music. But for a so called phony, the streets seem to respect him:yeshrug:

Ross has a few default topics he raps about. He doesn't have anything remotely as diverse as the Rae verses I listed.

And Rae did popularize it. G Rap pioneered it, but was never remotely in the same stratosphere as Rae/Wu-Tang when it came to mainstream recognition.

just what, exactly, separates rae's drug raps from ross'? if anything, the distinction is in their delivery, because their content isn't too far apart. you ross haters make every attempt to justify your hate, twisting in all different ways to do so.

The bottom line is Ross has made a career of making up a fantasy as a mafioso boss, a drug dealer kingpin and his music enviosions this false dream. He's no different than somebody who gets in the booth and raps about killing people. In reality, he worked for the law as a corrections officer to help fight against this very persona he has created in his own fabricated music. Is he lyrical? Not really. A highlight here and there. Great production and a false image that his fans buy into is what carries him. Typical ross song - mansions, yachts, lobster, jets, money, marble floors, maybachs, etc. Yes some people like to listen to lies. They use the "its entertainment" excuse. Fine. But dont compare him to any hip hop legend.

i'm willing to bet ross was more about that life than biggie. we know biggie wasn't anything higher than a mere corner boy, hustling nickles and dimes, yet he spent two albums serenading us with stories of reaching boss status, especially on life after death.

Well, first off, since we have Raekwon we don't need Ross. Why would I listen to an inferior version of the same topic?

Secondly, unlike Ross, Raekwon actually helped popularize that style of rap 16+ years ago. So not only is Ross rapping about a topic someone else mastered, he's damn near 20 years late, too.

It's 2012, no one gives a fukk if you're fake as long as you're popular. If people were really getting checked over being fake, Wayne wouldn't be running around in women's pants and skateboarding while masquerading as a hardcore Blood.

 we had G Rap.. why did we need Raekwon..?

Rae is basically rapping about a topic, someone else had clearly already mastered as well.. this thread is all over the place.. :snoop:

U could say Ross is to Rae what Rae is to G Rap

But Rae took shyt way further than G Rap, is as diverse etc etc

Ross is eating off the content of about 3 Rae songs (Knowledge God and u can name the other two)

Like I said Ross is doing it, hes got the buzz, hes got a little flow but nikkas cant even mention dude's name in the same convo as Rae

@the thread title :yeshrug:

For a stan base that tries so hard to create a reality where Ross is the biggest and best MC in the game, Ross fans are impossible to have mature convos with about why the nikka is any good.

A lot of cats are saying, Ross isn't the only one with limited content etc, but gloss over the fact the dude isn't saying anything. I've tried to ask Ross stans what certain verses are about and never get an answer. I don't care if you rap about the same thing every time, atleast have some sort of structure and say something. A dude tried to tell me one of Ross' tracks was an amazing story. I ask dude to tell me what the story was about and it took 5 posts of deflecting for him to admit he had no idea. :damn: The nikka is on Lil Wayne's level of verbal diarrhea but instead of stringing together bullshyt unconnected punchlines, it's bullshyt unconnected lines about extravagant shyt. Then nikkas say it's like a movie, but can't tell you the damn plot. :why: A dude posted a verse earlier in the thread and bolded half of it cause I guess it was supposed to be hot or something. The part he bolded had nothing to do with the part that wasn't bolded. What kind of ADD rap is that?

I loved Deeper Than Rap and liked Teflon Don because dude did improve his flow drastically, had great features, and decided to flesh out the sound that was most distinctive from Trilla. But his shyt has gotten stale which makes the fact that he's saying nothing so much more obvious. And I'm pretty sure dude raps with a dictionary nearby cause he'll throw a random big word in just to create multis, but the phrase wont make any sense. Ross' stanbase is also the only one who swears their MC is dope lyrically, but never quote dude like that. It's always youtube videos. Like if dude is so nice, I shouldn't need to hear the beat to think a line or verse is dope.

Prophetic:

Are people really taking this shyt that serious? It's fukking music at the end of the day. This is just entertainment, nothing more, nothing less. EVERY rapper is fukking lying. ALL of them. Jay's verse on "Ignorant shyt" said it best. Just listen to the fukking music you want to listen to and stop this bullshyt forreal. Is Ross an incredible emcee? Not really. Is he an above average entertainer who knows how to consistently put out good music regardless of the subject matter? Yes.

props to the t/s....nikka i fellout laughing at this shyt.....everything you and the other dude was saying is spot on......only thing i can equate this ross stan ish to is a bytch in love... you cant tell ross stans nothing without their emotions boiling over or them attacking you because you fukking wit they man lmao.......no seriously this and any critical ross thread proves that... no other thread does that

the funny thing is after all these posts no one still provided a clear answer to your simple ass question they just attacked not only just you but all these hip hop legends lol....... one nikka even said "he wasnt a cop he was a co" lmao......how can you argue with nikkaz with that kind of logic lol
