If you think you're lonely now, ohhh girl...
And like clockwork the rash of injuries begins. :stopitslime:

There were also some injuries we can discuss now. Defensive end Joshua Kaindoh missed practice after tweaking "something" but he didn't provide specifics other than to say the freshman five-star would be back soon. Receiver D.J. Matthews pulled a hamstring Friday and was having a strong camp before the injury.

Freshman defensive back Cyrus Fagan has a swollen knee ailment. Fisher said it's likely some cartilage might have to be removed before he returns to the field. Linebacker Dontavious Jackson missed Saturday with what Fisher said was either a "virus or food poisoning." He said Jackson has been vomiting over the last few days and they wanted to hold him out as a precaution. Fisher said Jackson should return within the next few days.

Also, freshman defensive back Hamsah Nasirildeen was wearing a blue practice jersey and it should come off early next week. He said Nasirildeen, received a "little nick" but didn't specific where. But he did add the 6-foot-4 defensive back was still physical during practice.

There's an open practice tomorrow. Not sure I'm going to go. Last year was boring as fukk. :ehh:

A report I read about the open practice you never about these so TIFWIW

QB’s:
Francois is a stud. Elite arm talent.
Blackman looks the part. Wow. If he has brains to go along with his skillset, watch out.
Hockman avg arm but very poised. The kind of kid that goes to northwestern and wins tons of games.
JJ….oh boy. I hate being a hater, but he still has one of the slowest deliveries I’ve seen and his accuracy is not good either. I can’t imagine Jimbo trusts him as the starter if DF goes down. The freshies both look better already. Hockman in particular got a lot of run with the 2s. Again, watch out if/when Blackman gets comfortable.

RB’s:
Khalon Laborn was born to play rb. So hard to bring down btw the tackles. Future star.
Akers is super smooth and is ready now.
Zaquandre White flashed multiple times. These 3 were the best looking runners i saw today, however the depth chart is Patrick then Akers then Rasul. You really can’t lose here. But it’s going to be hard to keep Laborn off the field.

OL:
The interior is actually quite good, especially run blocking. So our rbs should have big numbers.
Tackles will struggle this yr, I think. No "whiff" blocks by Leonard today but Brian Burns had no trouble pushing him backwards and collapsing the pocket.

WR:
Walk on Jared Jackson was all over the place making athletic catches while getting tons of reps with the 1s and 2s. He will get meaningful pt this yr and produce.
Noonie is legit.
Book is still out on Tate being big time.
Gavin is a bit overrated, imo. Big strong body than can out muscle defenders, but is slow out of breaks, gets little separation, and is a bit stiff. Good player, dont get me wrong, just not great at this point.
Campbell looked good. Huge if he steps up.

DL:
Grown, dominant men. That is all.

LBs:
Didn’t really flash good or bad.

DBs:
Kyle Meyers can cover. He’s a starter.
Derwin looks like he’s deserving of the hype…which is saying a lot.
Mcfadden will be great again.
I love Becker and he’s kind of a forgotten man at times.

TEs:
I think Izzo will be targeted as much as Oleary was in his day. Big part of the attack.

Special Teams:
1st team kr’s are Derwin and Gavin. 2nd team is Laborn and Rasul. Interesting combos.
Jimbo clearly wants to win Derwin a heisman by showcasing him in different roles. Not a bad strategy for marketing fsu brand and recruiting. Heisman candidate gets fsu a lot of national talk time, especially if we’re in playoff contention.

dont like derwin returning kickoffs

That's Jimbo doing him a solid. Probably sat Derwin down and asked if he wanted the team/school to do a Heisman campaign. This sounds like Derwin said yeah, so Jimbo just doing his part by putting the ball in his hands. Even mentioned putting him on offense.
