I’m more apt to say media, specifically Tom Lang. He’s always crying about media not having access, challenging Taggart on decisions, now he’s crying about why a white hasn’t been named. That shyt infuriates me. The constant entitlement they feel but yet, they knew all this stuff from the last administration and didn’t write one word about it.

I mean you gotta be realistic.

I'm a big fan but a lot of questions need to be answered going into this year. the offense never really got better over the course of last year and a lot of talent was wasted last season. Hard to be a blind optimist when Taggart hasn't done anything. Dude has only won over 7 games twice in his career.

I'm starting to hate all of them. We're essentially a week out and this morning Wake Up Warchant complaining about the "Do Something" tagline :what:. On The Bench last episode had David Hale on to talk about Willie not improving in year 2. The Nolecast most recent "Buy or Sell" was negative as hell and they act like its just the questions the fans ask....LIKE THEY DON'T CHOOSE THE QUESTIONS TO READ AND ANSWER!!! I like how David Kelly shytted on them at media day and essentially told them clowns they don't know what the fukk they are talking about in regards to recruiting.



This how fukking retarded and spiteful the beat is....they saw the defense line up in a 3-4 and asked Willie and he said they were not going to a 3-4 defense and that they'd be multiple up front, which isnt something new (ran it in '13) for a defense to be. The media was so hell bent on proving Willie lied to them that they've been falling over themselves all camp with this 3-4 talk. They're so consumed with themselves that they openly giving out camp secrets before the team can hit Boise with a new wrinkle.

And I'm tired of this p*ssy ass "cautiously optimistic" narrative everyone running with. They so soft, that they're afraid to be wrong and endure some damn internet trolling. Anybody with eyes can see the team is totally different than last year, and yet each episode of most of their podcasts, you're guaranteed to hear bullshyt like "5-7" and "I have to see it first". And like you said, they kissed Jimbo's ass when they knew he was flying the program into the side of a mountain. Now they picking thru everything Willie say or do. fukk em!

This the shyt I dont understand. He hasn't done anything?? He took TWO programs from 1 and 2 wins to being conference champions. It wasnt hard for the fanbase to be blind optimists about a coach who never was a head coach in his life (Jimbo) but a man that's shown you this script 2 times before cant get the benefit of the doubt??? They pushed the old man out a year early for a coach that aint won shyt, but Willie don't get the same backing? Disgusting.

I get it. USF and WKU got better under him. But Oregon fell off under him, and so did we. As far as I see it, he hasn't done anything major.

He might be a good coach to build a cohesive program from the ground up, but I haven't seen him take a team over the top yet, and he hasn't given me any faith with how inept the team looked last year. Not saying he cant do it, I'm just saying thats why I'm cautious and not putting blind faith in him.

I had the same feelings about Jimbo myself at one point and Jimbo without Jameis hasn't done much either when you really look at it.

Oregon went 4-8 the year before Willie got there. He won 7 games his first year and was 4-1 avg damn near 40ppg before his starting QB got hurt :stopitslime:

Willie needs time to get his guys in there.

Like others have said, he improves every program hes been at.

If they allow him time to build, we will def be a contender in a few years.

No beef here, bro. I'd just feel better if it was based off of something instead of "just not seeing it". My honest question is why not? If you started at a program that won 1 game before you got there, you're gonna endure losing seasons to get it back right. And he's done it twice. USF was the second best program in a talent rich state behind FSU his last year there. Oregon improved his first year. Scott Frost won 4 games and is currently recruiting in the 60's and its nothing but roses on his doorstep at Nebraska. Willie took over a team with a poor culture, a few failed grades away from being sanctioned, and with a roster that was damn near 70% underclassmen. He has his team inside the top 10 in recruiting with only 5 wins, got an OC that never avg less than 30ppg, all his elite talent are just Jr's, a better QB, and a better culture. Why not be optimistic? I can understand outsiders riding against him. But to be so sure he's not it after one season is unfair and borderline weird for a fan to be so against him. There's even a "fan" in this thread say he'd rather have the Troy coach instead of Willie. A man who was an OC for a 7 win team and a 0-0 head coaching record is a better option to some "fans" on here?!?!?! Its obvious he's on that same accelerated plan that all black coaches seem to be on.
