That Morey/China situation showed with Lebron and the majority of those NBA players are all about. All talk and not about that action out of the fear of hurting their reputation and losing out on those endorsements.
People stay using the China situation to discredit Lebron and other players. These players are more likely to speak up now because they share the experience of being black in a racist country. They are passionate about this specific cause.. as unfortunate as it may be, they are not going to have that same passion about a situation that they only have a passive understanding about that is happening on the other side of the world.

And they aren’t going to take the time to learn and understand about it as they don’t want their bread to be fukked up because of it. I don’t get why people don’t realize that. Celebrities and companies are scared to speak up about certain issues as they are scared of the PR hit and messing up their money.

That’s why a lot of people out here now talking about they want to learn more racism and oppression issues is total bullshyt. They have had years to learn and inform themselves about it, yet chose not to.

I wonder what the objective is for players who may be mulling this over. What tangibles are they after that couldn’t be pursued during the next collective bargaining agreement (granted I don’t know when the next will be offhand)

I always felt The Sterling thing was the moment not to play. I’m just wondering what’s the end game for this

for me I view the Chinese shyt much different China got over a billion people with the most new billionaires and millionaires per year so in way even though they are under a communist regime their capitalist boom was going to be funding the NBA no other league here has crossed over in China. Also no other league has a revenue sharing plan where the players get close to 50%. China is also dangerous with people anybody really going missing for nothing. Morey who has money that’s not part of the Salary cap was fukked up in doing that while players were in China(Lebron and the Lakers). If he felt so strongly he should have said it in China. Nothing happened to the players but I can’t fault them for being angry. They could have been held hostage in China with no way to reach their family because China controls everything and has trackers in everything. Morey is the kind of jackass that thinks he’s so smart that anything he does someone will take care of it. If Stern was the commissioner and that happened Morey would be sent to China to apologize in person. Big reason why I don’t like Silver is he does this fake consensus shyt all the time then pops shyt to Trump someone who actually makes decisions that matter. Moving forward Silver looks more and more like a spineless bytch

Not one person on the Lakers would do this. LeBron would have their ass cut in a second.

Let’s be honest. China has no bearing on US issues. You aren’t obligated to speak on some fukk ass China. If you want to fine if you don’t want to fine.
Exactly!
The players don’t care about that Hon Kong shyt, and I agree. Let Jeremy Lin take care of that
