And the US does? Are those people holding elections and choosing to be occupied?

i dont know about the US, the US has a long history of doing shady things in africa, but Obama's policies have been very good and have promoted democracy, from ivory coast, south sudan and somalia and getting rid of ghadaffi, i think he's laid the foundation that will lead to pretty much every country in africa becoming democratic or more democratic in the next few years and decades,

i think the era of the african dictator is over and obama deserves partial credit for that

and imo africa countries should be brought into the maintream western world in terms of global capital markets and increased trade and education, i think the best model for africa is countries like korea and japan that have used american models and america knowledge to create their own economies while directing linking their economies with the us

on top of that there are black people in the america and in the caribbean, so forging ties with america also means forging ties between african americans

so for all those reasons i think america should be deeply involved in what happens in africa and have stronger ties with african countries
