There are a few things I see at play here. Solange is the little sister of arguably the most popular female, and maybe artist period, in the world. That's a lot to compete with and still have an identity of her own. We only know of Solange because of Beyoncé. She only goes to these award shows, exclusive parties and events, because she is Beyonce's sister. She probably feels like she needs to earn her presence to constantly kick it with music royalty. Not to mention Bey is her sister. So any perceived slight or disrespect, especially due to another chick (Rachel Roy, Rihanna, whoever), oh HELLZ NO. She gotta defend her sister's honor. If there is even a POSSIBILITY Jay is cheatin she's goin off. Its almost like the dude in a popular rappers crew. The only way to earn his keep is to be the muscle. So if there is any HINT of beef with another rapper or whomever, he's gonna go hard and probably overreact.
