My white coworkers mom goes into a nursing the week after Thanksgiving. It's like 5k a month. I asked him why doesnt he gave her love with him and his kids, her grandkids then he doesn't necessarily even have to pay 900 a month for daycare and he literally said "
I can't stand her and the way she treated me when I was a teenager before I moved out, she needs to be on her own. Our relationship is better, in still getting money in her will, her and the kids are great but I wouldn't be able to stand having her in my house."
Meanwhile me and and Hispanic guy was like
.
Id never put my parents in a nursing home. Mexican dude said if he ever tried his mom would probably kill him and herself.
It's not about even being able to afford to part with your family. You have generations of knowledge, family right there and you just push that away. I guess a lot of people don't have that.
Hell me and my pops aren't talking right now, but my brothers nor I would ever let him go to a nursing home.
Cacs have this picture perfect image of just them in the house and eventually kicking their kids out. That's a white culture thing. If your parents own a house it doesn't even financially make sense to be on your own if you don't
want to. You can go to college or even work a full time job and save your checks 1-3 years to come up with 40k to put down on a house. No debt, no bullshyt.
