I didn't know Roger was a former cop. I know he said Alonzo had a "silly rookie look" back in the day, but I just took that as him being an old school drug dealer who was obviously around for a long time who might have met Alonzo the same way Jake did. None of the three wiseguys or the other cops on Alonzo's team alluded to him being a former cop either.
