this is gonna be a huge win for Dems nationally, and just what they need to mobilize in 2022

look no further than Lyin Ted Cruz's twitter page. not one tweet since the bill passed, supporting it. because he's terrified of having to stand up on a national debate stage and defend this bullshyt. having to answer that a victim of rape should be forced to carry her rapist's baby :scusthov:

of course the right wing extremists in the former confederacy love it, but when it REALLY comes down to overturning Roe? telling all white women with daughters, who can get knocked up in college, that abortion is illegal? :mjlol: republicans are looking at 30 percent of america supporting it. the pro life talk is all talk, until you make it a reality

not to mention the incoming pressure on corporations in texas :banderas:

and then i saw florida is thinking about a similar law. theres NO WAY a law like this is gonna fly in the state thats the home of miami :rudy: disney, sports teams, the pressure will be enormous

You see this every day in this sub forum. We get bombarded with tweets about how the dems are doomed and Biden’s popularity is plunging every fukkin day and then it’s a complete black out whenever the GQP does something. The agenda is quite transparent.
GQP actually passed this law and GQP appointees turned a blind eye.

I open up the Coli and people are blaming dems for republican behavior. :russ:

Everyone in this thread is forgetting a lot of black people are against abortion as well. Not as cut and dry as we all think.

Keeping my overhead low, and my understand high
I maintain the 2014 Midterm Elections were the most pivotal of our lifetimes and no one voted.

With Ginsburg being replaced by Barrett, Liberals don't have the 4 justices that can vote to grant certiorari to bring a case to the Court. 3 can’t.

Breyer needs to retire ASAP.

This is all interesting and true.

My question regarding the law is, how the hell is this supposed to be enforced?

Also, if it's still being litigated in lower courts, does that mean abortions are still legal until it's resolved?

Then religious blacks too, need to get onside. Everyone needs to be on board if we push back against this. No more I'm personally against Abortion but support it tepidly in public or what not.

These left wing populists fukkED YOU!!!
Enough already. She should have stepped down in 2009. Period. This is RBG's fault, and as @wire28 said in the other thread, term limits need to happen.

"Black Americans have become more likely to support abortion rights over the past decade, and they are now as likely as non-Black Americans to say that abortion is morally acceptable and slightly more likely to support legal abortion in all circumstances. This marks a significant change from the situation 15 to 20 years ago for Black Americans, while attitudes among the rest of the U.S. population have stayed relatively constant."

Good to hear. When I was a kid it was so much different. Everyone needs to push back. It won't stop at abortion.
