The Russian’s promoter, Main Events CEO Kathy Duva, told a group of reporters that Kovalev will earn 75 percent of Main Event’s 40 percent cut of the promotion’s net revenue (pay-per-view sales, the gate, merchandise, etc.). That figures to be around $1 million if the fight generates similar numbers to their first fight.

Wards style can get ugly but hes probably the best inside fighter in the game today. Casuals find it ugly but if you watch closely Ward always takes the opponents ability to strike away when hes on the inside, at the same time his left hand is almost always free and thats where he was getting hits in on Kovalev

And people dont wanna notice it but from the 3rd round onwards he slowly took away the klansmans jab. KKKov's jab is powerful because if you watch, he pretty much shifts his entire body weight onto the left side of his body and it was bugging SOG at first but like every #1 P4P, he adapts

Thanks! It was alright, they both seemed scared of each other. Neither threw many combos it was simple jabs and one-two at most. We know Ward's style is super technical but he can definitely impress and win convincingly.

Same with Rigo hope he shows out, needs to get a big fight.

Where does Ward go from here if he wins again? Stevenson doesn't seem like he really wants to fight anyone and those other EuroDemons in the division will probably put Ward to sleep. Gvozdyk and Beterbiev are no fukking joke.

Ward tried to outbox him from range first but Kovalev was surprisingly fast and fresher early on when Ward realized that he won't get his way if he continues like that he adapted and made it a rough inside fight where Kovalev's man strengths were negated, especially later when he also gassed from the body shots.
I expect Ward to come out sharper from the beginning and taking the fight on the inside from the start.
