what did he say the mistakes were?

Man, he was in Stiverenes face b, finger poking chest, telling him about the fight. He said Stiverene coulda won the first fight if he kept backing up Wilder. Said Wilder wasn't responding to the punches from Stiverene well (which I wholeheartedly agreed with ever since I saw that fight) and has no technique/craft. He said Stiverene needs to get inside Wilders long arms and not let Wilder walk him down.

He also implored Stiverene to keep pressuring Wilder and get that rematch asap. Said he doesn't respect the way Wilder has been acting as champ. Said he hasn't been training as hard, obviously recently got caught with weed in the whip and arrested for it, said he's too full of himself and it's now that Stiverene has to get him. Also told Stiverene to keep his weight down and told both him and his trainer to call him when it's camp time

That's so sick. But what'd he SHOW you? I'm eager to know. Did it have you change your stance at all? Although based on the Krusher hat i doubt it :mjlol:

His stance was pretty much that Ward has to take away Kovalev's jab by stepping to the side of it or swatting the jab down with his right (I call it parrying) so that he can pivot swing to the inside with a left counter hook. He also said Ward gotta get inside and not be on the outside of Kovalev's offense.

He was very real. Said he's here to support Ward cuz he's American. When I asked him who does his heart tell him will win, he said it tells him nothing. He said that Ward can win IF he can take away the jab and right hand. But real talk, to me it seemed that although he his pro Ward, he's not completely convinced Ward will or can execute. And I agree. Ward has tools to win most definitely, as does Kovalev. Whoever imposes their will on the other and doesn't wilt at the resistance that comes from that will be victorious.

So to slip outside/parry, then go INSIDE? I'd think a parry, then a check hook over the top while turning him, would work more effectively. But i'm sure it's impossible to explain what he was actually showing you. That's dope as fukk :salute:

Agree 97% about Stiverne

Yeah but b the check hook would still leave Ward on the outside, where he'd still be on the end of Kovalev's punches. Ward gotta get inside with his counters cuz then Kovalev's long arms won't be as effective.

@Mr. Leonidas

I was asking about what rjj told stiverne about his mistakes in wilder fight. thanks though.

My b. His mistakes were that he didn't continue to pressure Wilder and then allowed Wilder to back him up. Also he said Stiverne should have been jabbing to his chest and throwing more than single and double shots once on the inside. Lastly, he said Stiverne stayed at the end of Wilders punches too much and should be got inside.

It's not just what RJJ was saying, it was the PASSION he was saying it with. RJJ and I were talking and walking and just happened to run into Stiverne, his girl, and his trainer and RJJ literally when right to Stiverne to give him that real talk soul walk. He mentioned he's been meaning to speak to Stiverne ever since the first fight but never ran into him. The whole time my bro and I were listening intently with our jaws on the floor like :gladbron:

And then after that RJJ said peace to Stiverne and co. and we kept talking and walking and he told me about his views on Mayweather, his career, legacy that was so raw, real, and truthful that me and @Newzz joked that all the Floyd stans on the Coli wouldn't believe me if I repeated it. Plus they'd probably say fukk RJJ, he's lost and Mayweather never did and is greater blah blah blah but all I know is my fav fighter and the GOAT validated EVERYTHING I've said about Floyd Joy both on and offline. :smugfavre:

nikka you may as well say what Roy said about Floyd. I wouldn't mind hearing about a GOAT speak on another GOAT.
