Oh I get it man. And I addressed the optics of the situation already. But I don't think JDJ would compromise both his own integrity and that of his position as a boxing trainer by defecting like that. That would've been career suicide. What seems more realistic is Team Ward trying to gain a competitive advantage and play some mind games prior to a big rematch of a fight 85% of the boxing community felt he didn't deserve to win. But, to each it's own.

That sequence was so crazy
I remember at first I was watching that fight and thinking fukk, Wards past his prime and lost a bit...but then when that sequence occurred I said my man still got more than enough

Froch said he couldn't beat Ward on the outside and that he was too fast and skilled. So were y'all surprised that KKK was beating Ward on the outside (which surprised me) Ward really didn't turn the tide until he started infighting. Kovalev really is a great boxer (no matter how much we hate him lol) so brehs if KKK can semi-neutralize Ward inside game he can pull it out. I'm pulling for Ward to win but thats one of the things I dnt see y'all talk about a lot.What's y'all opinion on that?

Yeah I was legit surprised
Later in the fight Ward outboxed him from the outside too but he lost the outside game in the first half of tge fight no doubt
I think he's gonna jave success with inside fighting again, he should start it earlier. Weeks will let them fight there and I don't think Kovalev gonna adopt

You think JDJ really wouldn't have told to his own fighter that the other side looked him up with an offer?
JDJ came with his story after Ward's side dropped it in. Kovalev didn't know about all that until Ward's side came out with the story. Then JDJ put up his best juelz gif on and tried to spin it sonehow. It's an obvious damage control imo.
And maybe he has things to lose but honestly how much...? He is with a man who openly disrespects him as a coach and thinks he is inferior compared to jim because of his race.

It took Ward a few rounds to take his right hand away it's usually like that w pure boxers. Takes them a bit to get your timing and adjust to whatever it is they are being shown.
We've seem it time n time again w guys having success early n getting their weapons neutralized around halfway through by the boxer.
As far as kkov inside fighting he has none n you ain't learning how to do that in 1 camp fam.

JDJ informed Egis Klimas and Kathy Duva when it all happened. He also told them he was informed to keep all this private, so Team Kovalev did. It only came out cuz Team Ward decided to reneg on their agreement and released all info at the KRUSHER media workout. My guess is Team Ward thought Team KRUSHER would spill the beans so they revealed the info to the world to get in front of it.
Duva also said she informed Kovalev from the jump too. She said he shrugged it all off and after the reveal JDJ and Kovalev discussed it again.
