indeed.i mainly do C++ backend development. Mainly enterprise apps . I have done a mix of things including C#, Java and some frontend/web stuff when required. The C# that I've done has been mainly GUI related based on Infragistics. J2EE but no Spring yet ...

You can use sqllite for basic practice and for simple persistence in your programs.
Sqllte comes pre-installed on mac.
Just open a terminal and type "sqlite3".
I'm not those, but my career is in Data Engineering, which transitioned directly from BI/Dashboarding/Analytics.
I'm liking how with Spring Boot I can push input validation onto the beans with some annotations. Saving a lot of boilerplate code. More setup in the bean but now the front end can't fukk things up.

I'm pretty solid at my company, and i see a ton of data engineering jobs on linkedin, so I'm not feeling it that much. One of our clients, we did see one of the lesser technical people get laid off this week.
