*This is for those individuals that are just starting out*

Every couple months I have a few tech interviews so I can keep my skills sharp and just to see how other companies interview(ill never leave my job unless I opened up my own thing)

So I've been interviewing with this one company for months. I didn't hear back from them for two months and then they hit me up asking if I was still interested. So I said yeah...I kill their system design interview and their coding challenge that had nothing to do with the role(such a waste imo). So they wanted me to do one 90 minute panel interview and on the day of the interview they said the spot got filled.:martin:

I'm mentioning this because I want yall to get this $$$ while its out there. A lot of these companies don't care about the individual they just want to fill a role. How this company conducted theirselves rubbed me the wrong way but I would definitely be upset if I was unemployed. Keep your options open at all times

I can rn through many leetcode programming interviews but system design has always been my weakness. Since you killed it, do share some resources so I can kill my next one too :feedme:

Im trynna get a FAANG offer in the next 12 months. I think I can do it if I tighten up on my system design skills.

You ever read the book groking the system design interview? That and youtube helped me out. But what really helped me was creating a fake company and building the infrastructure on my own....A lot of late night white boarding sessions as well.

I also hir up twitter and reddit to ask more experience people about system design and what flaws they noticed in my infra

@Joe Blow Thee Lover Man holla at me whenever

Grokking the system design interview? Yeah I've read that one, but unfortunately didn't help me feel like I understood my shyt. Creating your own fake company approach does sound like a good idea. I might try it soon :jbhmm:

Slow and steady wins the race. :blessed:. If this is the first programming you've ever done just be ready because some days it will feel like you don't know anything and are a million miles away. But just keep plugging away and you'll get there
It’s a marathon not a sprint. I swear it’s some days, I want to be complacent and throw in the towel for a couple days.

The reticulate package provides a comprehensive set of tools for interoperability between Python and R. The package includes facilities for:

reticulated_python.png

  • Calling Python from R in a variety of ways including R Markdown, sourcing Python scripts, importing Python modules, and using Python interactively within an R session.

  • Translation between R and Python objects (for example, between R and Pandas data frames, or between R matrices and NumPy arrays).

  • Flexible binding to different versions of Python including virtual environments and Conda environments.
Reticulate embeds a Python session within your R session, enabling seamless, high-performance interoperability. If you are an R developer that uses Python for some of your work or a member of data science team that uses both languages, reticulate can dramatically streamline your workflow!

I've started work on a new project with a new team and I got one of those sarcastic know it all and arrogant type of dudes on this team. He doesn't talk to me, yet, which I prefer because I don't have the tolerance for the bullshyt. But damn this dude is constantly insulting other members on the team, doesn't take even the mildest constructive criticism, and just always got to be the smartest guy in the room.

Just listening to the guy talk is annoying. :hhh:

That's what up bro. I'm currently catching up now but I'm hoping we can make this a lifelong career breh :salute:
We just finished HTML/CSS after going over it for about a month. Today will be our first class with Javascript, so it's a good jump in point too. This is the part I'm looking forward to the most. Dont forget to join the discord, it's very active. It's also where he posts the homework material.

I'm on Video 7 now. Luckily I knew about HTML and CSS (a very small ass amount) when I started. I'm on the margin/padding stuff now. I'm in the Discord too, but it's a lot going on in there. So far I haven't gotten too stumped on some stuff yet, fortunately. I haven't even started some of the homework just been following the videos using Anki when I can. Yeah I'm definitely trying not to get left behind on the JS stuff also, so I may watch this video just to see what's up also.
