You ever wonder why television is called 'programming?' Back to your regularly scheduled programming. Think about a computer. What happens when you 'program' a computer? You give the computer instructions and the computer returns the programmers desired results. That's exactly what the point of much of television is. To give you certain values and thoughts, but they do it in such an entertaining fashion, you never realize it is being done. There is a field of linguistics called 'neurolinguistic programming' aka NLP that studies how to use language to get the desired effect from people, or in other words, to 'program them.'.

To be fair we've all been screwed since birth. Between Monsanto's GMOs, to the government's water fluoride contamination, and forced vaccination we don't stand a chance. Also add to that the brainwashing and social programming done by the mainstream media, pop culture, rap music being used as a vehicle to promote ignorance, the feminization of black men, the destruction of the black family, etc. You'd have to be a fukking idiot to bring a child into this world.

Humans go through a process of programming one way or another usually through culture. Its how we all learn how to behave in a society. However, you could say that television is a powerful tool of culture to program people in a much more widespread and complex manner. I always wondered what it'd be like if this as attempted with a more positive outcome in mind.
The schooling system and mass media are very powerful tools for 'controlling a society'. Essentially if you control the thoughts of the people, you control that society, since it is our thinking that eventually dictates our actions.

The internet is powerful too since we're able to freely have these sort of discussions. Unfortunately I fear that in the future the government will regulate the internet as well. My friends laugh at me when I suggest this like it's not even possible. I guess they've never heard of China.
That's why you have all of these movements to 'stop piracy online' going through the government. They are trying to male laws where they can shut down websites through loopholes. Oh, you have a copyrighted image on your page. time to shut it down. A lot of these sites like youtube and the such will ban you and close your account if you have content that is deemed 'offensive'... so as you can see, there's slowly a shift to control the lines of thinking on the internet as well.

A lot of it is passed down from parents to their kids. Unbeknownst to a lot of parents, they're raising kids who will never be shyt because they're conditioned to never be accountable.

I learned about this thing as a Media and Professional Communications Major.
It's well known that most mainstream media (Advertising, TV, and Movies especially) are propelled by social engineering. In fact, after learning about the history of television in regards to the subject of social engineering, I have every reason to believe that the existence and invention of television (especially coming after WWII when it's known that some of Hitler's behind the scenes research people were paid off or hired by American govt. associates for some facets of their work that they thought could be used by them) was solely based on social engineering and being able to shape and control the thoughts/habits of people.
After taking those type of media analysis classes I haven't watched or owned a TV in over 5 years. I grew to hate it after learning what I learned that I don't even want to subject myself to the bullshyt that's being spewed on it that I have absolutely no control of and have no interest in.
