Soccer = Skill and Technique (USA Needs to Understand This)

So im on twitter and seeing stuff like "If lebron/kobe/(another super athletic dude) type dude there we would win "

Breh soccer is a game of skill and technique. You can only get these two by having a soccer culture and america does not have a soccer culture. Yes being athletic is a great bonus but its not the be all and end all.


Lets look at neymar for example, 5'8 150. Not exactly a physical specimen but he would run rings around any team. Why? he has great acceleration but his skill and technique is whats sets him apart from other players. Take a 10 year old kid from brazil, argentina, france, germany etc, I guarantee he would be more advanced then a 16 year old soccer player in the USA.

So for brehs who just think you need super athletes to win It don't work like that.

Why would USA have a good soccer team when they have basketball courts instead of soccer goals/pitches.

USA are by far the best basketball nation in the world. But soccer is a much bigger sport than basketball.

these nikkas just dont get it.......the game is based off tactics and a team strategy.....athleticism is just another tool in the shed.....ask them ghanians or ashley cole how that athleticism is working for them

they using Lukaku as an example of vert X 40 yard dash = superstar athlete and just ignoring how that nikka's touch on the ball made that goal


the belgium and germany game made it obvious that there's a significant gap just in the TECHNICAL skill between the U.S. and the top squads no matter the size, athleticism or race, but if they don't wanna see it then

our athletes aren't just all athleticism. basketball takes skill and technique just like soccer.

give those young athletic 5-8 to 6-1 black kids who are told they too small to play basketball quality coaching and i bet the US would be better. not dominate but better.

You know what all you have to do is look at african teams. Im a 100% sure african teams would straight embarrass them other countries in athletics.....BUT thats not good enough on this level.
