A little advanced question, there are gifs were the scene stops at a frame and a caption is added. How do we do that with this method?

ill show you how to do this son :jawalrus: and they aint gonna be corny and tinged with autism like that fakkit Fetus's

first off you gonna need Photoshop, which you can get at any reputable torrent site or warez site....if you need help getting a copy hit me up

after you install the program, at the top you'll see a tab called Window...make sure you have Animation and Layer checked, those are the basics you're gonna need for simple gif making...it's a good idea to have the Tools checked too

now, you need the video you plan on making the gif from...for that you can go anywhere the easiest and fastest way is to get something off youtube

for this you'll need either Firefox or Chrome and an addon called Easy Youtube Video Downloader, which you can get here for FF:

after installing the addon, just go to youtube and find the video you want, click the new Download button you should see under the video and go to MP4 (for videos with HD quality, it's recommended you go with a standard def version of the video as HD gifs use up more size and makes it harder for them to be uploaded to sites)

now that you got photoshop ready and your video ready, go back to PS and go to File > Import > Video Frames to Layers and find your video

on the side you'll see Range To Import, make sure you check Selected Range Only now you have to find the part you're gonna gif and select it by holding down Shift and moving the slider to highlight the part you want

if you did all of this correctly, when you hit OK you should see the selected part of the video chopped up into frames at the bottom of the photoshop window in the Animation (Frames) bar

after that it's pretty simple and straightforward, you just decide what frames you want to keep and what frames you can delete...you can delete them individually by dragging them to the trash can icon under the Animation (Frames) bar, or you can shift + click them to highlight a bunch of them at once and drag them the same way...but be careful which frames you delete as you can make the gif look ugly and choppy if you get rid of the wrong ones

if you want to resize the gif, simply go to the Image tab at the top of photoshop, go to Image Size and pick whichever size you wanna go with

if you need to crop some black bars or other obscurities out of the gif, you can use the Rectangular Marquee Tool by pressing the M key with photoshop open, or clicking the dotted line box tool on the side (if you don't see the tools on the left side, go to Window > Tools at the top)....simply drag the tool over the part of the video you want to KEEP, then go to Image > Crop

2ur88s7.jpg

now that your gif has been resized, chopped and cropped, it's time to save that bytch and upload it

for that, just go to File > Save for Web & Devices...a preview window will come up showing the size and other information about the gif, as well as giving you an idea of how it will look online

oiuqo8.jpg

if your gif is too big (over 5MB) it will be hard to upload it to many picture sites, so a couple tips are:

-- go back to Image Size and make it smaller

-- in the Save for Web & Devices window, in the top right corner there will be a section for Colors that will probably say 256...if you bring it down to 128 it will make the filesize smaller but it will also make it a little uglier

this is a real basic and quick walkthrough to show yall how to make simple gifs for yaselves instead of giving that 40 year old miserable virgin impotent autistic dirtbag wigger fetus any more attention and making him feel special

for more advanced gifs, tagging gifs, adding text to gifs, editing individual frames of gifs and more...stay tuned

as far as requests, dont count on it, make your own lazy a$$hole :jawalrus: but ill make some depending on what it is and how much time i got

How come my gif is so slow when i load it on the internet. How do i cut down on the amount of frames per second in my gif?

by each frame there is a lil 0.05s or whatever it might be...highlight all the frames, click one of the arrows by the number by one of the frames and add to it if you want it slower or lower it if you want it faster

u should preview the gifs before u up em to make sure they look right
